The observation has to be 2500 words, 10% over or under. It has got to include an: 1) Introduction- Introduce the child you observed, not using their real name, age, give a brief description about where they were observed, their family and background, enough information to put the child into context (about 200 words) 2) Observation – Include your observation in this section. It should be typed and presented clearly and professionally, add any field notes or pictures also. ( i have got pictures i could include myself if necessary)(about 200 words) 3) Interpretation – This section need to refer to the literature to describe and analyse what you have observed. (about 600- 800 words) 4) Supporting or enhancing children’s learning or development – Refer to the appropriate curriculum document and give 3 suggestions for how you could support or enhance children’s learning and/or development. (about 300 – 400 words) 5) Personal reflection- answer the questions above and refer to the 5Rs of Reflective Writing to complete this section (about 900 words)
