I would like to have an abstract for this paper as well.*** This paper must be a persuasive essay, include counter arguments, and be addressed to a general audience. The paper must include at least 5000 words or context. Due attention must be paid to standard English, logic(critical thinking), organization(structure), and argumentation, be completely documented, be persuasive(i.e. argumentative), include and deal with, counter arguments, be addressed to a lay(general) audience. Subheadings are allowed. MUST HAVE introduction, discussion, and conclusion marked in paper. All information in this paper must be cited I would like to have as many citations as possible in this paper. Avoid weak, ineffectual, or vague argumentation. Always use logic and avoid emotion. ABSTRACT is accurate, objective, pithy, and exact. Abstract is limited to 120 words. Abstract quickly tells reader whether essay is of further interest and whether reader wants to read the essay, itself. Abstract is on a page by itself I would like it to have a Review/Description of how college football started, when players began receiving scholarships, and how scholarships have changed over the years. As well as what a scholarship consists of now, what other benefits are available and all the stipulations the NCAA has for college football players to remain eligible. Along with what they must to do to remain amateurs. Some of my arguments: I believe the NCAA should pay the players, not the individual university. Each player should receive the same amount regardless of playing time or skill. The NCAA should use money they receive from lucrative tv contracts and apparel money. Some coaches receive millions of dollars but the players receive no money at all. Some coaches are paid more than the school presidents and the president of the USA. Players risk injury both small and serious even life threatening. Other sports do not risk injury as much as football players. Football is like a job in college (its not just a game like it was in high school) and it is year round not just during season. This takes away from players studies, social life, and time for a job. Schools make money off jersey sales. Players from poor families can''t ask for money from their families and players from rich families shouldn''t have to because they have earned it for their services on the gridiron. Paying the players might decrease the number of player who leave early for the pro''s. Paying the players could keep players from taking money from agents and boosters.
