Contact the agency or organization and obtain information on the agency''s mission/purpose, services provided and how they are provided, who provides the services, how services/programs are organized to meet the needs of older adults, and the outcomes of these programs or services. How have the programs or services helped seniors? Source of this information about your organization or agency might be able to be accessed online or through obtaining literature about the organization. Obtain at least 3 articles from either journals or books that pertain to the programs or services you are learning about. Write the paper: Paper should be 6-8 pages. Discuss the agency or organization you selected to visit. Provide answers to the above questions about the organization. (7 points) Summarize the three articles you read and discuss how the articles you read compare with the services/programs you visited. (7 points) Be sure to write a conclusion which addresses the following: What did you learn from visiting the agency/organization and from reading the literature? What are some directions for future study or programming? (6 points) All papers should be typed in 12-point font and double-spaced. Written assignments should be prepared in word-processing software (Microsoft Word preferred). The format of papers (margins, bibliography, references, etc.) should follow either the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association or UMUC''s Guide to Writing and Research.
