Research question being addressed – what question(s) is being answered? – Can the company improve its profitability by increasing its level of output? – Can the company improve it profitability by increasing expenditures on advertisement? – Should the government subsidize house production (e.g., reduce the marginal cost of producing houses) when considering consumer and producer surplus? . For example, it has been shown that advertisement is helpful in improving sales for the beverage industry. This analysis investigates if this will also hold for a small computer company operating in a neighbourhood within the city? .
