By the current financial crisis i mean the one from 2007 till current. Hyman Minsky has basically written work on explaining possible reasons to why financial crises that arise and I want to relate his work to the current one and how it DOES help explain its causes. The main content should include his “financial instability hypothesis” theory, how stability makes the economy unstable, mention of leveraging, recent deregulation in financial institutions and link it in with the financial crisis and how events that happened are like what Minksy mentions. The main focus relating to the part of the financial crisis should be the beginning and cause of the crisis mainly including the subprime market, easy credit lending etc I also want a brief critique of Minsky relating it to the current crisis and alternative views to explain the crisis.
