Use research to analyse a current educational development/ policy and make suggestions for development. Has it been successful? In that case is there scope for development? If it has not been successful- how can it be changed? This should be based on primary and secondary research. The assessment Criteria are to demonstrate: A secure critical understanding of policy-making processes. Consideration of the political and problematic relationship between providers, users, politicians and other stakeholders in educational policy. Identification of an appropriate educational funding stream from within the UK or EU. Have an informed view about the relationship between policy, practice (implememtation), and research in education. Evidence of a developed view about organisational, structural and systems thinking in educational provision. All of these criteria must be met in order to pass, in accordance with third year undergraduate study. Critical reflection on the changing nature of the relationship between stakeholder, policy makers and users of educational provision in a range of contexts from exanding EU to local educational institutions at a time of intensive educational reform. Critical and theoretical consideration of changing legislative frameworks, developing multi-agency provision, changing socio-economic and political contexts and the role of research in policy-making.
